Its been over four years of hard graft, but tonight Team GB’s golden girl, Jessica Ennis, lived up to the hype by bringing home the gold. With a final score of 6955 in the Heptathlon, Jess lead from the very start, smashing the Olympic record in her first event, the 100m hurdles and notching up a time that would have won her Gold in the straight 100m Hurdles in Beijing. Also huge congratulations to Team GB’s other hepathletes, Louise Hazel and the 19 year old, fantastically named Katarina Johnson-Thompson, especially KJT for her gutsy run in the 800m. However tonight is all about Jess, for her determination, stamina and strength, both on the track and in the media.
WELL DONE JESS!
